When you give to an Impact Fund, you make an immediate difference. With your gift, a dean or director can meet pressing needs, wherever and whenever they arise. Campus leaders have utilized Impact Funds to respond to extraordinary challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, such as helping students cover emergency expenses, providing technology and equipment to support remote learning, and offering innovative experiential and research opportunities. 

Campus leaders have utilized Impact Funds in the following ways to ensure student, faculty and staff success:

• Disbursing emergency aid to students facing unexpected financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic
• Lending Wi-Fi hotspots to students who left campus in spring 2020 and did not have internet access at home
• Providing direct care to Montanans through on-campus clinics and building new academic programs in the College of Health
• Establishing a Student Ambassadors program to train College of Humanities & Sciences representatives, who serve at events, including orientation, Homecoming and advisory board meetings
• Purchasing specialized equipment to support hands-on learning for students in technical programs at Missoula College
• Funding student travel to professional development conferences and study abroad experiences
• Serving the Flathead Lake Biological Station's mission of keeping Flathead Lake blue by monitoring the lake's water for changing water quality, genetics and environmental factors
