Go Wild for our Wildlife Society

The University of Montana Student Chapter of The Wildlife Society promotes career development by connecting students with wildlife professionals to help them gain experience as they pursue environmental and resource management fields. Members also participate in outreach measures that benefit local schools and the community at large through volunteer programs, like removing barbed wire with local organizations. Initiatives like this help improve wildlife movement and habitat connectivity in Missoula and the surrounding areas, while also cleaning up public and private lands.

Your support helps fund endeavors such as these, and much more:

  • Participating in field surveys, where students practice their skills and build their resumes
  • Engaging with leading field professionals and their research
  • Sending students to conferences locally and nationwide

We welcome membership from all majors at the university, priding ourselves on inclusion, education and outreach. You keep The Wildlife Society accessible for students pursuing their dreams of a career in wildlife ecology, management and stewardship. Thank you for keeping us working for wildlife!
